Through our partnership with Comploy and Vertical Insurance we are building the framework that will allow help enable construction start-ups, including WBE, MEB, and Section 3 general contractors, to participate in larger developments that have historically been out of reach. The Heartland Group, through its financial arm, offers a comprehensive payroll and benefits program, including certified payroll, as well as a full set of insurance offerings including general liability, builder’s risk, bonding and workers comp. We also offer financial consulting services that can include everything from project budgeting and job costing to help with completing pay applications. We strongly believe that our financial services give our clients the best chance for a successful outcome.

The Heartland Group brings over 100 years of combined experience in commercial, multifamily, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and medical construction. We work with local, regional and national developers and property funds by providing high level general contracting services that bring their concepts to life. Our highly skilled team of construction professionals will scrutinize every aspect of the scope of work to help ensure that all projects are completed efficiently and on budget. In addition to our general contracting work, our team at Heartland is also involved with project design and development, budgeting and forecasting, and provide owner’s rep services when contracted. Our projects encompass commercial, residential and mixed-use construction. Our commercial team has built retail, warehouse and industrial flex spaces and residential experiences include everything from affordable housing to market rent and encompasses rehab, including historic rehab, to ground up construction. We have a particular specialty in ground-up multi-family residences which are often a mix of affordable and market-rent properties and in many cases work-force developments. Our approach has been to work with local partners and municipalities, whenever possible, to develop urban areas by renovating existing structures or building new ones that enhance neighborhood appeal. We strive to hire local talent as often as possible to enhance the economic impact our projects have on these communities.
